Courses & format
How are small-group classes organised?
Four to six pupils. Everyone takes a diagnostic first and is grouped by level, not by age. Classes run weekly in term time and follow a published syllabus.
Online or in person?
Both. In-person lessons take place in Oxford; online lessons use video conferencing with a shared whiteboard and are recorded for pupils in the class only.
What do we need for online lessons?
A laptop or tablet with a camera and microphone, a quiet space, and the materials we send in advance for you to print. For maths, a tablet with a stylus makes life much easier.
Fees & payment
Do you publish fees?
Where we can publish a fee, it is on the course card. The final fee is confirmed in writing before you enrol, and we are straight about money from the first call.
How do we pay?
Termly in advance, by bank transfer — UK or international. Ask if you would like a payment plan.
What if we need to cancel?
Half a term’s notice for regular classes. How unused lessons are refunded is set out in the parent handbook you receive when you enrol.
Absence & catch-up
What happens if my child misses a class?
We send you the materials, and the recording for online classes. If a parallel class has a free place, your child can catch up there; if not, we can arrange a short one-to-one catch-up at a reduced rate.
Communication & privacy
How do you keep parents informed?
A short written report each term, a parent call at the end of term, and email for anything urgent. English or Chinese, whichever suits you.
How do you protect children’s information?
We collect only what we need in order to teach and to invoice, keep it in our private teaching system — never on this public website — and delete it on our retention schedule. Case studies are anonymised unless parents give written consent.
Are your teachers DBS-checked?
Yes. All teaching staff have passed an enhanced DBS check, and their safeguarding training is kept current.
