Dr Chai — Founder & Lead Teacher
Dr Chai holds a PhD in Education from the University of Bath and a PGCE. As a former frontline teacher in UK private schools, she brings many years of specialised experience in 11+ exam preparation. Over the years, she has successfully guided students to secure offers from top-tier UK independent schools, including Eton College, Harrow School, Wycombe Abbey, Wellington College, and Radley College.
She deeply understands that succeeding in the exams — whether for the ISEB, GL, or CEM boards — requires more than just rote memorisation. Dr Chai believes the real secret to success is helping children build a strong “logical intuition”. Her teaching covers all four core 11+ modules: Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning (VR), and Non-Verbal Reasoning (NVR), as well as writing and interview preparation for assessment days. She is particularly skilled at helping students overcome the most common hurdles, such as tricky English inference questions and multi-step Maths word problems.
Fluent in both native Mandarin and English, Dr Chai provides highly tailored support for both local UK students and international families transitioning into the British education system. Whether through intensive courses or her personalised monthly paper marking services, she is dedicated to helping every student reach their full potential. All our staff have full Safeguarding training and an Enhanced DBS check to ensure the highest standards of student safety.

In person in Oxford, and online wherever a family happens to be, with class times arranged around their time zone. We also work with schools, relocation consultants and education agents — do get in touch.
